We’re Cass + Zach, the owners of Flower & Pine. We’ve both been capturing weddings for over 10 years! We totally get that weddings are expensive, and not everyone has the budget to hire their dream photographer. But what if you could get professional edits without the sticker price of a professional photographer?
Our idea
We wanted to come up with a solution to bridge the gap. We realized that a lot of people have a friend or someone they know who’s super talented at photography and might be willing to capture your wedding at a discounted (or free!) rate. Because of how many photos we all take nowadays, people are just better at photography in general. All you need is a friend with a good eye (and a good camera) who’s down to capture your wedding day!
The only issue is — not everyone can edit. In fact, most people aren’t very good at it. And so much of the magic in photography is in the editing!! The way you color an image can make it feel like a scene out of Pride and Prejudice — or like you used an instagram filter from 2012 (and we’re pretty sure you don’t want that).
